Recently, I attended a destination wedding in Puerto Rico.  As we were going to be there for only 2 nights, we opted to upgrade the accommodation to a seaview room. As we checked in, the front desk clerk said “oh, you have a lovely room, right on the beach”. Imagine our expectations?

The 6th floor room, at the opposite end of a long building perpendicular to the beach was not “on the beach”. As for a seaview, well, if you stood at the non-opening window at just the right angle, you could catch a glimpse of the sea.

I will not be rushing back to the Ritz Carlton to pay the exhorbitant fees for a 6th floor standard room overlooking the parking lot and street!
